Contact Matt Pilcher (970) 672-0562 [email protected] We’re proud to make the Zoom Into June showcase event (June 10-13, 2022) an important tool to connect college programs and club softball student-athletes, which means we’re already adapting to how the new WCWS schedule affects everyone involved.
Here’s the tentative itinerary: Friday the 10th will kick things off with Showcase and All-Academic Games, while team games run the rest of the way, Saturday through Monday. We’ve moved the balance of our camps and clinics to Monday as well. Look for our Uncommitted 2021-22 Workout and our CSE session on Saturday, June 11. What’s unchanged is the talent level and recruiting impact as we go to work (5 showcase games!) on fields in Chino Hills, Hemet and Riverside, CA. This is the first, best heavy-hitting softball showcase on the calendar, and we encourage you to secure your spot well ahead of the Jan. 31 deadline. FYI, the Zoom Juniors event (12u, June 11-12) is unaffected and will still take place in San Diego. We're back in 1998 when current San Antonio Spurs Assistant Coach, Becky Hammon, lead the CSU Rams to the preseason championship! Hammond of course went on to play professionally in the NWBL and the WNBA. She is a 6x WNBA All-Star and has made the All-WNBA First Team twice. She has been selected as ESPNW's Women of the Year and is currently a member of the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. Got a story to share? Drop us a line. Photo Credit - J.E. Needless to say, baseball is a very fun game that can provide a lifetime of memories and stories if played correctly-- or incorrectly. Framed in his home is this subtle reminder of just how fun baseball can be. Here is his story: 13 years ago I had the pleasure of being on a team that played in the Omaha slump buster (sic)! I don’t remember the first two games I played in; the third game though is 100% engraved into memory! In my first at bat 2nd pitch I was given a fastball! Jumped all over it, a big swing and a foul tip! Well somehow the ball had the perfect spin to come off the bat and hit me right on the front left two teeth! It knocked one tooth out immediately! The umpire looked at me and asked if I was all right, I told him I think I lost a tooth blue! Then spit the second tooth out! Went to the dentist of course! They put the teeth back in whole! Well from that point forward they gave me nothing but problems, last Thursday I had to have those teeth removed! What a beautiful memory that continues to keep on giving. Thanks for sharing!
